Amelia and I took a trip over to Jericho Nursery to pick some up. We really like that place for our local gardening needs. They have great stuff, and the people are really nice and helpful. Plus they have cute kitties and chickens to check out! We didn't get any shots of the cats (though one of Jericho's employees found one for us hiding inside), but Amelia got a couple of good shots of one of the chickens with my phone.
We picked up 6 strawberry plants and a really pretty daisy for Lori. All of the strawberry plants were flowering already, and we decided to keep the flowers on two of them. We'll get a few fruit this year, and we'll pinch off the flowers on the other 4 so they can focus on getting bigger and producing daughters for an awesome crop next year. That's the plan, anyway. That's me doing the planting, and Lori's behind the camera.
Hopefully we'll see some of our seeds sprouting soon!
